The Kerala Project aka 'Kutty Kadha' was a short design project to understand Design process and batch production methods better. The idea was to make a set of magnets with the storyline taking you across all the core values and memories of being a malayali NRI. Sharing a few of the process pictures and final explorations of various mediums of story telling below.

Of multiple elements that were tried, a number of forms were taken forward and some recycled considering batch production of the collection.

Knitting a story with significant memories, sights, smells, feelings and sounds.

Below is a rough visualisation of the magnets weaving a story with them being placed in a postcard sort of set up. The idea was to print this hand drawn cards as an ambience lift for when the customer receives the product. Post using the product, these can be coloured and used as postcards, bringing back another set of memories altogether.

As a part of a collaborative work, the stop motion medium was also explored. The magnets were bought to life and it makes one truly feel like a part of the journey.
